This course introduces students with the theoretical frameworks of the sociology of higher education. Students will learn what are the major topics discussed by the sociologists of higher education and will explore each topic to gain the basic understanding of key problems and challenges. Students will track the historical path of higher education, functions and outcomes of higher education and its development from its inception to this day.
